Savings updates

July 6th, 2012 at 12:10 pm

I added $15 to the cruise fund after selling a textbook, getting close to the deadline!

I also updated personal savings to $6,443. Getting there, slowly, but surely!

I work a few hours this morning at the part time job and then I have the rest of the day off. I haven't gotten a paycheck from the new place yet. It will be automatically deposited into my ING account, so I won't have to touch it at all.

Good job on adding to the cruise fund as well as the personal savings.

I'm afraid to ask what the textbook cost initially, but I am sure it was more than $15. The textbook market really leads me to wonder sometimes. Some of mine cost well into the three digits, and it's frustrating to have little insurance that you can get something decent back for most of them.

Yes, the textbook was more than $15! But we got it used as well, for about $36 with shipping, so I'm not complaining. I remember the days before internet selling, when the only place I could sell my book to was back to the bookstore, for a pittance!
