Great experience at the thrift store!

My mom had mentioned that the thrift store had a half-off sale yesterday, so I decided to go check it out. I'm so glad I went! I picked up some Dockers capris, Limited capris, and a nice Talbots shirt, as well as a new shirt for DD for the school year, all for $9.40!

I'm inspired to stay away from the regular stores when I pick up new clothes for the school year. At least for myself- I didn't find much for kids at the thrift store. I guess it depends on the day. I'll keep hunting for great deals for the kids throughout the year.

I find that it is hit or miss, I just got a few good deals this past weekend. I think going regularly is key to success. Good deal on your finds!

I love a good thrifting day! Back in the day, when we lived in Boston, there was this one thrift store that had such amazing merchandise (and deals) that we would literally hike there in the snow sometimes because of the savings it would lead to... unfortunately, they closed down when a new condo building was built on the spot, and no other thrift store ever offered us the insurance of that combination of great stuff and low prices since. Sigh. I miss you, Family Thrift Center. Thanks for the memories!
