Birthday party was a success

July 22nd, 2012 at 12:09 pm

Even though it rained steadily, and our pool party had to turn into a house party at the last hour, my daughter had an awesome 13th birthday party! The house looked great, just some simple decorations and glow sticks. The pizza was the most expensive, because I bought so many, and we bought my daughter's favorite, not the cheapest. But we gave out leftover pizza and froze the rest. A friend of ours told us that if you freeze pizza, and just reheat it in the oven, it tastes fine.
I really enjoyed making my girl happy with a simple party with her closest friends. She can be so sweet and you could tell by looking at her that she was having a great time. xoxo

Best birthday wishes to DD, hoping she'll have an awesome year. Mom you have a teenager and an exciting year of transition.

Ah, glow sticks! My grandchildren got glow sticks on the last day of vacation and had a blast! Simple pleasures are the best!

Sounds like a great party, even though you had to change the setting. Wish we had some of your rain.

I love reheated frozen pizza, it should lead to no problems at all. Nice that you had some insurance of a lovely party for your daughter, even with the rainy weather! With the right people, the weather really doesn't matter that much...
